déjà vu

As I work on the large painting, tiny flickers of déjà vu (already seen), spark and burn. As I look over the painting surface the pooling of paint suggests icy reflections, a sharp black drip over acid green suggesting stuttering neon in a stairwell, reiterations of shapes at shrinking scale funnel in to a tiny window view. Trying to find windows into the work, small grids in 10×10 cm can be ruled with the ruler I have. 3 ruler widths can be 10cm if I’m just a little careless with accuracy, a little generous with space.
